Your Home Business Lead is not going to stay at home waiting for your call. Chances are very high they will not be available the first time you call. Since you want them to want to call you back, you MUST be prepared with a professional but human message to leave on their voice
Be clear and brief. Don’t sound like a telemarketer, debt collector or an ‘uhmer’; you know, uhm this and uhm that. Here’s an example of a professional message:
mail.
“Hello Mary. This is Nancy Smith. You went to my website and filled out some information & I’m getting back to you. Sorry I missed
you. Please give me a call me on xxx-xxx-xxxx. I’ll repeat the number xxx-xxx-xxxx. Thanks Mary, and if the line is busy, please call back.”
Change the words to what’s comfortable for your style, but keep the general idea and length that we’ve covered here.
If someone else answers the phone and your lead is not available, just say you’ll try reaching them again later. If you leave your contact information with someone else, don’t assume your lead will receive it, just as don’t assume they will receive your message.
Finally, place your Home Business Lead on your recall list and send an email telling them you’ve left a message. In the email, provide your contact information and a link to a website with any introductory information they can review before you speak. I highly recommend Tim Sales’ Brilliant Compensation web movie. Please do not send them to your company website. That comes much later in the process.
Please leave a comment and let us know what works for you and tweet this message to a friend.
