Many people mistake money for happiness, so they pick Network Marketing because they believe it is easy money, and therefore easy happiness. If you are an experienced networker, you know that nothing can be further from the truth. If you are new to Network Marketing, you are mistaken. Network Marketing is not going to give you happiness any more than money will.
Network Marketing is a business like any other business. Making money in Network Marketing is based on performance, just as happiness in your life is based on performance. You have to work at both. You always get what you put in.
How do you know when a person’s expectations of the business are unrealistic?
The answer is you need to get to know them and you need to be clear with them about what is required to be successful and the results they can expect to achieve.
Sometimes it’s difficult to read what’s on their mind. Sometimes it’s hard to be totally honest because you don’t want to lose them.
So what do you do? First, you have to be honest with yourself and your expectations. Once you are, you can be honest with others.
So what do you really want your Network Marketing business to do for you, and is that realistic? If not, get realistic first so you can be realistic with the people who are looking to you for a business solution. That is your responsibility as a Leader. When you do, you will notice that your results will reflect your actions.
